Locus Poetica Launches on iOS
This summer Meg was invested in the development and launch of Locus Poetica, a digital humanities project designed to connect poets, park visitors, and poetry, within the places that inspire it. It launched on Apple App Store this month.
Locus Poetica the flagship initiative of Poetry in the Parks, the nonprofit she founded in 2023 to bring poetry into parks, sacred, and protected lands.
The app, which features an interactive poetry map and submission form, creates opportunities for poets and land stewards to build an archive of place-based poetry.
Rather than having technology distract users from embodied experience in their land communities, Locus Poetica is designed to enable users to engage more closely with the physical world around them.
